Unfortunately there will not be a local Mass for the traditional Feast Of Corpus Christi in the EF form.  There will be Masses in New Brighton (Ss Peter Paul & Philomena) and St Mary’s (FSSP) in Warrington, but I have not found out any times other than the usual morning Mass times as yet.

We may also be struggling for a First Friday Mass on 3 June, though we have a replacement for Fr. Chavasse (further treatment, poor man) for the Mass at Swynnerton on Sunday 5 June.  Almost certainly we will have a Mass for Ss Peter & Paul, June 29.

However, the following Sat. morning Mass at Swynnerton may be cancelled as Fr. Chavasse and a number of us may be attending the Inaugural Mass of the FSSP taking over the Church of St. Mary’s Warrington T 12 NOON on Sat. 21 Nov.  Please check (phone 01270-768144/e-mail) close to the day if you are intending to attend the 21 Nov. Low Mass Feast of All Souls 2 Nov

There is a Low Mass in the Traditional Rite on the Feast of All Souls, Nov. 2, at 7 pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Swynnerton.   The following Friday, Nov. 6, there is a First Friday Low Mass at 7 pm at St. Wulstan’s Church, Wolstanton.

Visit to Rome with LMS and Una Voce

I got back from Rome two days ago where members of the LMS and Una Voce International (Jamie Bogle wasn’t re-elected as President, but Joseph Shaw was as Treasurer) were among an international procession of hundreds, perhaps over 1,000, of traditionalists led by many clerics through the streets of Rome to St. Peter’s, where Solemn High Mass was celebrated in the Traditional Rite in the chapel beneath the Holy Paraclete window.  LMS and Una Voce members and guests were addressed by Cardinal Pell at a dinner in his honour.

Thursday, 24 September 2015

Unfortunately, the Trad. Rite Mass at Our Lady’s Swynnerton this Sunday (6pm 27 Sept. 2015) is cancelled.  It’s just one of those things when possible replacement priests have commitments already, and it may well have been a low turn out with one of the altar boys being confirmed in the ICKSP Church in Preston.

There is Low Mass this Saturday 26 Sept at 10 am and fortnightly thereafter (10, 24 Oct …) and usual Sunday Mass at Swynnerton on Sunday Oct. 4th. at 6 pm.  First Friday Mass at St. Wulstan’s, Wolstanton, on 2 Oct. is at 7 pm.

Monday, 14 September 2015

Please disregard the date of Oct. 3rd for a Saturday 10 am Mass at Swynnerton in the earlier message.  The fortnightly Masses will be maintained at 10 am, but from and including Saturday 26 Sept: following Saturday Masses will be on October 10th, October 24th, November 7th etc.  We are grateful to Fr. Chavasse for arranging this in order to fit in with his busy schedule.
