The Latin Mass Society is to sponsor young Catholics wishing to attend World Youth Day (WYD) with the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI in Madrid from 16 - 21 August. Previous WYDs have been attended by JUVENTUTEM, the worldwide youth movement for 16 - 35 year olds attached to the Traditional Rite. This year 'Juventutem' will again be there with its own EF programme and daily Mass, and the LMS will be subsidising the cost of young Catholics attending with them.
There will be an optional retreat in the preceding week (9 - 15 Aug.) at Amorbieta Convent near Bilbao, which will include Traditional Mass, Lauds, Rosary and Compline plus spiritual conferences and recreational activities and visits. With the LMS subsidy, cost is likely to be £95 or £170 for the Retreat and the WYD event combined.
